The CBC has just reported another story of alleged abuse in another long-term care facility in Chester, Nova Scotia. The CBC report details that only one in five cases of neglect and abuse are reported. It also says when the family contacted the Department for the Protection for the People in Care, they never received a call back. As far as the ACE Team is concerned this is old news as an ACE Team freedom of information request had revealed the same information two years ago and yes, when it comes to talking to people in government, it is like talking to a wall.
